VS220 is a vehicle CBRNE and X-ray inspection system for rapidly checking passenger vehicles for concealed prohibited items. It combines a low-energy X-ray machine, high-speed high-resolution detector units and a nuclear detection module to screen vehicles as they pass.

Cars and vans are difficult to search: concealment is easy, a thorough manual inspection is slow, and at a busy entrance the volume of traffic means that searching properly and keeping vehicles moving pull against each other. VS220 is built for that conflict, screening vehicles as they drive through rather than requiring them to be stopped and examined.
The system performs top-down perspective scanning together with nuclear detection while capturing chassis images, so concealed radioactive materials, leaked toxic chemicals, weapons, tools, drugs and other prohibited items can be identified without opening the vehicle. Scanning is 360 degrees without blind spots, and imaging stays clear at low radiation intensity.
Data is transmitted to a terminal for centralised monitoring, so results are assessed away from the lane itself. The system has a small footprint and can be deployed and redeployed quickly, which suits temporary checkpoints and changing security postures as well as permanent installations.
