CR1000 is a lightweight handheld Raman identifier for front-line security and law-enforcement teams. It identifies drugs, explosives, hazardous chemicals and household chemicals in solid, powder, paste and liquid form, reading suspicious material directly through transparent containers and packaging so nothing has to be opened or sampled.

An officer who encounters an unknown substance needs an answer before deciding how to handle it. CR1000 is built for that moment: it is operated without specialist training, returns an identification within a few seconds, and needs no sample preparation.
Because Raman spectroscopy reads through transparent packaging, the operator never has to open, decant or touch the material. That keeps exposure risk down during roadside checks, premises searches and other situations where the substance is genuinely unknown.
Several inspection modes tune the same instrument between routine screening and closer examination. An optional enhanced detection kit improves performance on narcotics, and optional mobile-app connectivity extends the on-board library with cloud database and cloud computing services.
