Case Study: Application of Handheld Dangerous Goods Detection Devices in Warehouses

To ensure the safety of warehouses and improve the efficiency of detecting dangerous goods, the management department of a large warehouse has deployed handheld dangerous goods detection devices.

Gas Detection: When warehouse personnel suspect that certain goods may contain dangerous substances, they can use handheld gas detectors for detection. These gas detectors can detect volatile compounds that may be released, such as hazardous gases or volatile organic compounds in chemicals. By bringing the detector close to the goods or testing the warehouse air, personnel can quickly determine whether there is a threat of dangerous goods.

Surface Detection: For more specific detection needs, personnel can use detection rods equipped with handheld dangerous goods detection devices for surface detection. They can lightly touch the surface of suspicious goods with the detection rod and then insert the detection rod into the detector for analysis. These detection devices can quickly identify whether there are residues of dangerous goods on the surface.

Application Case: During a warehouse inventory, management personnel found abnormal packaging of a batch of goods, suspecting the presence of dangerous goods. They immediately used handheld gas detectors to test the air around the goods and found suspicious chemical gases. Subsequently, they further used detection rods from handheld dangerous goods detection devices to test the surface of the goods, and the results showed residues of dangerous goods. Management personnel then took action to isolate the suspicious goods and conduct further investigation to ensure the safety of the warehouse.

By using handheld dangerous goods detection devices, warehouse management personnel can timely and effectively identify potential dangerous goods, ensuring the safety and stability of the warehouse.
