Mission capability

Protection of Important Locations

Protection of important locations combines site-specific risk assessment, layered sensing, trained response and sustained readiness across critical infrastructure and high-consequence venues.

Protection of Important Locations
Integrated sensing and response planning for an important public location.
Operational context

Important locations are not protected by installing a generic detector at the entrance. Airports, government facilities, transport hubs, utilities, research sites and major venues have different threat pathways, operating rhythms and continuity requirements.

HT-Nova supports a mission-led architecture that can combine fixed monitoring, portable identification, radiation survey, biological monitoring, mobile or unmanned reconnaissance and HT-Vision information management according to the site's risk assessment.

Operational challenge

Operational challenge

A critical site must detect meaningful change without overwhelming operators with nuisance alarms or disrupting normal operations. Coverage gaps, environmental background, communications failure, maintenance and multi-agency responsibilities must be addressed before equipment is selected.

Operating workflow

Operating workflow

01

Plan the mission

Translate the site risk assessment into sensor locations, patrol routes, communications and escalation procedures.

02

Build the baseline

Confirm normal conditions and instrument status before operations begin.

03

Detect and assess

Use complementary fixed, portable, mobile or unmanned systems to investigate changes in context.

04

Share the operating picture

Transmit time, position, sensor status and validated observations to the relevant command roles.

05

Sustain and review

Maintain readiness, calibrations, consumables, training records and post-operation learning.

Technology role

Technology role

The architecture separates wide-area awareness, point monitoring, mobile investigation, material identification and command reporting. Sensor data gains operational value when it is time- and location-linked, quality-checked and connected to a documented response procedure.

Technical boundaries

Technical boundaries

No single configuration protects every important location or detects every CBRNE hazard. Final design requires a site survey, threat and vulnerability assessment, authority-approved procedures, operator training and lifecycle support.

Mission value

Mission value

01

Site-specific design

Detection layers follow the actual threat pathways, assets and operating constraints of the location.

02

Connected response

Alarms, field observations and command decisions share a common operating context.

03

Sustained readiness

Training, calibration, maintenance and exercises are treated as part of the protection system.
